Urgent advice needed: Purchase of JB4 Stage 2

Hi guys,

Urgent advice needed, I found a N20 JB4 stage 2 for sale at a great price. Guy wants to unload it today.

I have a 2013 328i EWG Manual.

See photo below the JB4 does not have EWG or OBD wires.

I've been told there is a specific JB4 card for EWG but the PWG card can work on both with addition of EWG wires. Is this true?

I've also been told that the OBD wire & plug can be bought & connects to the canbus wires. Please confirm?

JB4 website says that PWG card firmware can be updated to latest EWG type?

Basically I don't want to waste my money & buy this unit if the EWG specific unit has higher capability for performance.

With all your concerns, why dont you just buy a new Jb4??

Besides want Twinz has already advised. DO NOT trust people who pressurize yo with a sale as in..."offloading it today"

No sense in it unless you know there are more confirmed buyers. If not, save up and go buy a new one or if you looking for a better price, get a secondhand one but one that is complete according to your knowledge.

Also, do not go on 'hearsay', stick to your guns and you r research...if you have not had the time to research, rather wait a bit till you comfy.

I got burnt twice with similar transactions...and also i was too impatient and bargains ended up costing me more.
