Upper Radiator Hose

Hey all

Recently found my upper radiator hose swollen & hot - have since not driven her. Replaced radiator, water pump, exp tank, heater inlet pipe and coolant about 100kms ago so really wandering what this could now be as a result of...thermostat perhaps? Reason I think its the thermo is because at the same time the lower radiator hose is quite cool/normal.

2001 E46 330ci.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like the radiator is blocked. If the upper (inlet) hose is hot and swollen but the lower (outlet) hose is cold, it means that hot coolant does not pass through the radiator.

Thanks. How would I confirm that though...?

Remove the radiator to have it tested properly. Are you sure that the replacement radiator is the correct type for your car?
