Congrats on the new car, that M3 really makes your 335i look boring.

You are going to enjoy the convertible very much!

Ok, not the best quality video, and very short, but it's not easy explaining to the family why I'm revving my engine!

But after a quick joyride on Sunday, I can say with absolute certainty that the 335i Coupe is quicker... at least up to 150km/hr or so... but this thing sounds monstrous and is a far more engaging drive. The 335i is smooth, quick but uneventful. This thing is EPIC, even if it's marginally slower at highveld altitudes, it puts a much bigger smile on your face.

Overall I am pleased and can confidently call this an upgrade, speed certainly isn't everything.

Just an update... I'm very happy with my decision, the ride is quite a lot firmer, and the convertible is not as quiet/solid as I hoped, but it's still Epic!

The fuel usage on the other hand is considerably worse than the 335!

Just a quick update... I recently drove two of my older cars (still in our corporate fleet), the old 335i Coupe and Z4 3.0l

The experience confirmed that my decision was the right one. The M3 is indeed a substantial upgrade in every respect! The 335i is still very quick and has loads of low-down torque, and the M3 Convertible is clearly bogged down by the additional weight, but it's a far better car!

I am still in love with convertable's. I dont care if they heavier or whatever, i feel the everyday pleasure factor far outweighs the weight, and since its an M, it belies the extra weight anyways
