Sorry about your hassles.

Have a look here for Bluetooth for your car http://www.mobridge.us/ (If I am not mistaken Rivonia Car Sound supply's and fits).
Sorry I am not to familiar with the Beemers, perhaps you can identify which one may work on your car.

Best of Luck!

I spoke to Rivonia car sounds this afternoon and asked them to quote something for my car - they have something costing R5400 which they say integrates with the current BMW idrive system, brings in bluetooth and telephone functionality, and works with the steering wheel controls and also shows calls, numbers and contacts on the idrive screen. Sounds attractive but a bit steep. Not sure what to do.

Am also guilty of this, when its time to take delivery, the excitement overrides reasoning. I need to keep reminding myself of this for my next purchase

DO NOT SIGN THE RELEASE NOTE UNTIL EVERYTHING IS SORTED TO YOUR SATISFACTION.

If the deal falls through, so be it, you can find another one.
Once you sign those papers and they have your money in the bank, you don't have much bargaining power. And it will cost you in time and money, making trips back to the dealer to get things sorted.

Most salesman wait for the day you come to pick up the vehicle to tell you they still have this and that on order and will have it for you in a week blah blah.
They know you just want the deal over and done with and will sign and go.

That's exactly what happened to me mate!

Got an aftermarket bluetooth product called Kufatec fiscon installed this afternoon (paid R5400) at Rivonia Car Sounds, Joburg. Looks good and sounds good and works perfectly with the existing functions in the car (i.e. the steering wheel controls, iDrive display screen shows all the calls, contacts, missed calls, received calls, dialled calls, etc.) I can receive or end calls by pressing the telephone button on the steering wheel - it's integrated into the existing car audio/media/entertainment system and works through the car speakers. Im happy with it.

With the new CPA,if you are not satisifed with your car and within reason, you have 6 months to return the car to the dealer and get all your money back if they dont deliver on what was promised when you bought the car

100% correct, and they will try convince you otherwise, like 30 days etc.. anyway.

I hope your car is sorted...

Shocking the way some of these so called "sales men" behave.. As a employee of BMW South Africa its so disapionting to hear about the poor service you have recieved.

If you dont come right with the rest of these issuses please send a PM and I will make sure action is taken and assist where i can.

Also I get the same bluetooth Modules for R3000 but unfortunaltely its a bit late for that now.

Hope you come right.
