Tyre Size

Can anyone advise the original tyre size for e82 125i coupe.

The car currently has 225 45 17 at the back and 205 50 17 at the front. The steering feels a bit hard and was wondering if may be the tyre sizes are incorrect.

Check the tyre guide on the drivers side door panel. It should show all the sizes that come on the model you have. It seems like you have narrow wides, which indicates a possible M Sport model. Most probably you have the correct tyres on.

These cars are designed to have a heavy steering as it gives good front wheel feedback.

Also make sure you have the right tyre pressures and the tyres are not worn. Worn tyres have more contact with the road causing heavy steering.

Thanks Husain. It is a M Sport Model. Does the difference in profiles make a difference. Ie 45 profile at the back and 50 at the front

the profile is a balance with the difference in Radius size, you could also have issues with Alignment it can feel heavy if out.
otherwise size is correct.
