Tyre Size ???

Hi all, Looking at getting the 19" Santiago rims for my E90 320D Sportspack and would like to know what is the ideal tyre width and prifile to use considering our roadsimp:

IMO 18s is the largest practical size for the E46/E90 given our road conditions.

The size for 18s are: 225/40/18 (front and/or rear) 255/35/18 (rear only)

I'm sure someone can fill in the right size for the 19s ...

Maybe check wha the "19" optional tyre and wheel size is on the 4 door 335 , will probably be similar

If you do just a direct comparrison then the sizes would be
225/35/19 Front and 255/30/19 Rear
Those are very low profile and the rims will not have much protection at all.

Thanks Leon328, I currently have 225/35/17 in front and 255/35/17 an the rear. What profile would be adequate for rim protection:dunno:

35's are cutting it fine already on our roads. Did the car come out with these sizes or are they after market. Reason I am asking is that the front size seems to have a very small roling radius.

Look also in all honesty a 35 profile on a 255 is quite a bit higher that a 35 profile on a 225 as this is a ratio of the width of the tyre so the rears should be fine.

Hi Leon, correction. Just checked now, the front is 225/45/17 and the rear is 255/40/17
