Hi Everyone,

I am contemplating doing forced induction on my 325 e90.

But 1st i need to know if i am being stupid to even consider it and 2nd, i have the auto box and don't know if it will be able to handle 300nm+ (currently 240nm) and 3rd, i cannot for the life of me find any places in the JHB area that do turbo conversions to get cost/technical info from.

Any input will be much appreciated.

My advice to you if you have that kind of disposable cash is trade the car for a 335i.
The reason I say this is because a bolt on solution turbocharger is going to cost you a arm and a leg. Then you will have to modify it to work properly at altitude and boost what it should with the hope that you do not create too much heat.
As for a turbo charger I haven"t seen any kits so your car will be the tuners experiment.
Take this information make a salad and use the auto box question as the dressing = 335.

Aaaaand that about sums it up perfectly. Thanks for the quick response.

Quite frankly i had no idea about the costs, hence the post. I can afford to do some modding but not enough to rather go straight to 335, which i would love to get.

Any modding suggestions to get more power in the R20k area?

Go look for Crash_Nemesis on the forum and look at his posts, he had a supercharged 323

The way I see it once your car is supercharged what you going to do once you use to it? Stretching for the 335 which will be close in performance if not quicker than you 325 charged gets you the car. Then you have a whole arena to play with once you start modding.
Go for the usual software, filter and exhaust then save.
