Trunk wont lock (e90)

Hi

Anyone had the problem of the trunk what don't lock with central locking?

After i locked the car..i can stil open trunk with hand ..

Any help maby?

Hi, does your trunk have a key slot, maybe try locking it manually.
When the trunk is open and you press the button to open it can you hear the actuator? That could also be the cause of your problems.

And don't get frustrated if people don't respond, they probably busy on Google trying to find a solution for you.
Btw have to tried the search function on the forum. There's loads of information in hear. Wish you all the best bud

Hey bud, I had a similar problem to you. Mine would not open. Try lock your car with a key (Takes quite a lot of force to turn the key, don't be shy). If it locks with a key, it is most likely the wiring on the right side of the boot where it goes from the car into the boot. You will have to open it up there and solder the wires back together. It is a very common issue on e90's.

Thx for replys...hmmmm im not sure i have a key fit....

I can hear the thingy in boot operate with the remote...also the boot is not open open...u cant open the boot...i mean u can open it with the switch if u put ur hand in where the switch is...

I mean it is not locked like the doors....after locking the car....:blueCry:

check your anti-hijack thingy in the boot, it might be pulled out abit.
make sure that its pushed in.

its the yellow handle thing in the middle of the boot on the boot lid.

hi man..no... checked the anti hijack..it seems ok.

Now im wondering if this did not happen when i coded my car...but its hard to believe that u can stil open truck when u locked the car with remote...hmmm?

I mailed carista devs they are looking into it for me...i cant really see a coding ive done what can effect the trunk lock...

like i say trunk is closed and cant open...but the LOCK..dont lock....

dont know how better to explain...

like closing ur door house..its close and cant open but u can stil open it with the lever....

how does the switch on trunk work? is the power cut to it when u lock?
