Fellow fanatics ,
My car gives an avarage fuel consumption of say; 9.4l/100km, but if I fill the tank and I do the calculations, I get a better consumption - evey time. The prediction for distance to empty is also from Mars - quite some time ago,
I had 74km left and relying on German technology the car just stopped on the way to the filling station. :dropjaw:
Well, a 3rd class ride is better than a 1st class walk. Lesson learned.
The questions are:
1.) how is the fuel consumption calculated? (perhaps a flow meter of some kind)
2.) How accurate is the distance to empty supposed to be?
Keep in mind that this car is almost 11 years of age - e46 323i, 2000 model.
It would be interesting to compare.
Thanks.
