Trim stolen off my new F20

Perfect Friday night:

Walk out of a restaurant back to my car, after drinks with colleagues, find the emblem ripped off my bonnet.

Go to see a movie in town an hour later, get back to my car afterwards and find the driver's door window trim (someone probably tried to jimmy the door open) gone.

All this on my barely 2 month old baby (118i Urban)!!

this is one of the reasons my car now stays at home and i use it for fun and on weekends. it doesnt leave my sight. driving a polo around during the day

sorry to hear. to replace is expensive as its as much as your excess so its not worth claiming. what about a scrap yard to find replacement?

So sorry to hear!!! Where was this that this happened?? :nonono:

Thanks for the empathy guys.

The first incident was outside Oblivion bar in Claremont, the 2nd in a side street just off Kloof Street in Gardens, went to the Labia cinema.

I wonder how much this is going to set me back... Would i even find F20 parts at a scrapyard yet?

Gees, that's bad! But I must say, these days I am always terrified leaving my car parked on any street at night!

Desperate measures need to be taken, reminds me of that advert where you see a guy parking his nice car, and then gets out and puts a "car cover" on it making it look like some sort of rusty wreck!! :nonono:

I am sorry to hear about the damage caused to your car. Only the perps know what gives them the right to disrespect other peoples pride and joy. Makes me want to break arms and take fingernails :argh:

Ps. There are always parking attendants / guards outside Oblivion, so how did this happen? I suggest bringing this incident to the attention of the owners so they can ensure adequate protection is provided at their establishment.
