Transport Mode / Pre-delivery Mode

Guys

My car is gone into pre-delivery mode according to BMW, what does this mean?

My car stood still and parked off for 3 weeks and then this happened.

My air con temperature gauge is stuck at 24 degrees and higher, it wont allow it to be turned lower. The temp also jumped to 50% on the rev console and then went down gradually.

BMW could not fix in a day, the car is still parked at the dealership. :thumbdo:

Sorry man, ive never heard of something like this before.
My 135 sits for many weeks on end and it starts first time every time!

It usually happens when the battery drops below 12v. The dealer would need to reset your ECU, you can try disconnecting the Battery for while and then re-connect it. Hope you get sorted soon :thumbs:

Got a call now from the dealer, they managed to get half of it working.

Air con button working but rotary dial for temp is not. It sounds like my car has the unstable version of windows! :yuck:

I would do this! Disconnect the battery, put it on charge over night, and then reconnect - hopefully the ECU resets itself (usually disconnected for 15 minutes is enough).

Just a side note: Within this week, I invested in a Ctek MXS 7.0 EU charger, probably one of the best things I have bought in a while, and for those who tend to store their cars for weeks on end, something like this is crucial to have in order to maintain the battery!

bmw fixed it, reset the the ecu and disconnected the battery.

after the disconnect, the auto touch stopped working, drove the car back in and they fixed that in 10min.

sometimes i wish i owned a car made in the 1970s without so many electronics ..... just old fashion steal doors and a small block v8 :inlove:
