Thanks for all the feedback guys. Yes it has CSL bits and pieces, can't complain. Regarding the above, seller told me the lights are on because battery was replaced. 🤷‍♂🤔

LOL really? Airbag light doesn't go on because of a battery replacement. In fact, the advice 99% of the time is, unplug battery when you do any work that is near an airbag or airbag sensor. My guess is...that wasn't done.

This definitely isn't the sort of car you buy sight-unseen. If you really want a good E46 then rather keep hunting. The good ones are starting to become really rare (and thus expensive)...

I agree with TBP88, vehicles of this calibre should be thoroughly checked! Also the dealer in question doesnt have many reviews online... a few clients stating they sell accident damaged cars however I cannot confirm or prove it but I would keep searching and give this one a skip...

Guys i’m no mechanic. I’m a normal IT guy with keyboard hands who just really love driving.

with that said, im willing to pay any experienced mechanic to go and physically view the car on my behalf

I can understand your impatience and trying to jump on a car that becomes available, but listen to the comments made here. This could be a very, and i mean VERY expensive mistake. Do not by any means buy a car like this unseen.
Hop on a flight down, maybe arrange to take it to a mechie and drive it there..make an informed decision.

Thanks for the input guys. Ok then, clearly some red flags were raised and now I will probably have to wait some more.

It's been almost a year now 😞

That's okay bud the right one will come along. Also the Focus RS you driving now is not really a bad place to be while waiting for your M3.

Any time a dealer tells you not to worry, it's something small, then that is your cue to WORRY and dig deeper.

An airbag light with no underlying condition takes MINUTES to fix... and no it is not because of battery replacement (as others have pointed out) or else this would be a very common complaint.

CSL style bumper and missing bits of interior point to an accident repair for a front smash.

Run away
