What did you pay for the car new? Or if you bought it pre-owned,what did you pay for it?

400K but I figured that it should have sold for around 430k last November. In the Autotrader these cars are selling for between 410k - 450k.

if you trade it in, expect them to drop you at least R100k from the Autotrader prices. try sell it privately if you can.

So if they going for R410-R450k,you'll probably get offered around R365-R385k for it,give or take. I may be wrong, but based on the 17%-20% the dealer needs to make (at least) that would probably be about the going rate. Have you spoken to any dealers yet?

Yes, I spoke to one dealer who wants to give me 310k against an 2008 E90 M3 DCT M-Dynamics with 60 000km and MP thats come to an end this year. I don't think it's a good idea to trade in my car? What do you guys think??

Tough choice that! Guess it depends ultimately what you want. You currently have a VERY good car with low mileage and MP until 2015 extendable to 2017. The M3 has double the mileage and MP can only be extended to 2015. If the 335 isn't giving you issues, then why trade? Unless you REALLY want an M3...and my understanding is that M-DCT E90 M3s are very rare indeed. Well 4 door M3s are pretty rare, but the M-DCT even more so.

Was also in the similar scenario as you,id say keep it , wait for the F30 M3 to get launched and with some patients you will get a low kms E90/92 M3 DCT at good price with low kms :)

Don't trade, not worth it. Going backwards there, unless you can get a newer M. It will definitely hold value better, but I don't know if it would be wise to trade now.
My inexperienced view

Thanks guys for the valuable opinion and I have the same sentiments as you. I'm an M3 guy with already an E36 M3 with 125000km's and have it for 15 years. In this time I only put on 37 000km's myself. I think although being an M3 fan I cannot take such a big knock on the current car.

 I know how you feel about the M3,that's why I went back to one. I could've gotten a 335i, and I know they are fantastic cars, but I wanted an M3 cos it was the last of the NA M3's that's likely to be built.

as i thought, another dealer another rip. R310k?! :nonono:

what i did was walk in to dealership, find the car i wanted, told them how much i wanted for my car and when they refused, i gave them my number and said phone me if you change your mind and i will sign on the dotted line.

they phoned me 5 minutes after i left the dealership.
