Never been to one. Is it like a take your car on the track and have a few laps every now and then kinda thing? What kind of limitations are there? Does one need a racing license?

Anyone that has an extra helmet?

You take your own car on the track. Each session is 15mins each. Theres 3 different groups (beginners, experienced, and pro). Each group has 3 sessions, the last session is a combined one.

All you need is a street legal car (your car), drivers license, helmet, long sleeve top, jeans and takkies.

Its great fun. If you want, come as a passenger or come watch to see what its like.

Oops, yeah its MSA membership.

Heres a break down of the 3 groups:

GROUP 1:
EASY - NO passing under brakes / single file in corners

GROUP 2:
Experienced - Out braking is allowed / NO overtaking in the corners

GROUP 3:
PRO - This is for very experienced driver and race vehicles at race pace.

I'll do my best to be there this time...:)

My baby needs some tlc before I want to put her on the track, will prob happen half way through next year, seeing that she's all paid end of feb, then the big mods has to be done...

Speaking of, need to make a mods list tread, so I dont do shit stuff to her...

Well see you guys there, with a bwors roll in hand cheering you on...:)

Fly in Sunday at 4:30pm... no time to go play :bawling:

Great fun and addictive.

Your car will be checked so be intime for that. What they check for is functioning seatbelts, steering tight, I don't think they like NOS, loose or missing wheel nuts, loose batteries, Loose seats but they were Ok with the noose nut behind the steeringwheel:thumbsup:

Some tips, don't brake in the corners, break early. If your ABS is coming on all the time they advise you to let up abit. 15 minutes per session is a long time and for a street car 15mins on a track is torture so go easy on the brakes.

Pax must also have helmet and long sleeves pants and closed shoes.

You can normally hire helmets at the track. Look out for a modded SEAT Cupra in silver.

Hi guys.

Have'nt attempted this as yet but sounds like some serious fun.
Anyways I have 3 very nice full helmets at home (From my biking days)and if any one wants to borrow them for the track day you can give me a shout on 0725992632 (Asief). I live in rylands. No charge for BMW members  Just require a deposit so that I can be assured that it will be returned in one piece after the track day.
