Tow Hitch

I have recently had the honor of purchasing a 2011 F10 530d. It's a fantastic car. I sold my 2000 E46 323i for this "beast" as my friends say.

The car has a tow hitch fitted (looks OEM) but the removable ball is missing. I have made contact with the original owner but he said he left it in the car on trade in.

I would really like it if someone can assist as the OEM is just to expensive for this part.

You can try your luck at scrapyards. What does the goose neck cost from BMW?

I stand under correction, but that does not look OEM. Try to find out what brand it is and you should be able to buy just the part you want from a local supplier.

However, if OEM, as stated already - scrapyards would be your best bet for a cheap one.

I doubt that is an OEM towbar as it looks exactly like the towbar that was fitted to my car when I purchased it. If I remember correctly it's Execuhitch/Invisihitch.

I was told that towbar had been discontinued as well.

To end the hole run around...

I bought the correct hitch from Execuhitch R4500 later but done.
