Tow bar plug work-around fix - Knowledge base diagrams

I don't know if there is a specific area in which to post knowledge base diagrams, etc, but I've come across some diagrams I used, when installing a tow hitch coupling to my ex BMW. I refused to spend R4,5K on a little box of tricks, which could be made for less than R200!

Any way here are two work-around fixes, from different sources; one a little less sophisticated than the other, so take your pick, when using, as both work equally fine!

Thanks Wynand. Does any one of these incorporate the function to disable the PDC when reversing. I want something that can tell the car that you have a trailer hitched and then disable that ANNOYING PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP...

That last diagram won't work right, the "brakelight on the car" won't light up. The relay should be in parallel to the light, not in series like the diagram.
