I think it is super cool.

If only it had a manual gearbox
If only it had a more reliable engine
If only it had a dipstick
If only it had a temp gauge
If only it had a cheaper parts list

:argh:

Not sure about paying the premium over the sedan, understand the rarity of the vehicle but you are still facing the usual common issues with these vehicles...which can get pricey.

Guess it might be worth it for a collector....

Most of the niggles with this engine were sorted out by early 2007, with various mechanical and software upgrades that made them far more reliable than the 2005 to late 2006 models. If this were a 2006 (which is impossible considering the touring came out in 2008 if I am not mistaken) I would share the concerns.
That being said,it would be an awesome addition to any collection, asking price is a bit steep though to be honest, based on the mileage.

Left nut only? I'd give both :praise:

you cant just offer both at the same time.. start with the left so when you give both they think its a good deal :roflol::roflol::fencelook:

I think there are more than three. Know of at least two grey ones, one black and one white, in JHB alone.
Hot hot car though.

Yeah, I'm also skeptical when it comes to people claiming rarity in this country.

How do you KNOW there are only said amount in the country? Did the people buying them phone you and tell you?

I don't care if the dealer told you so. A dealer once told me there are only 4 SLS AMG's in the country at the time they arrived here, yet that very same day I saw 6 in Bedfordview alone.

Anyways, I'm not a fan of the E60. But this beast is damn hot, and I would buy it if I could afford to :inlove:

In my humble opinion, and it is just mine,I think Monte Carlo Auto are full of k@k. Especially with their prices. They way over price their cars. They've got a 1980 635CSi on their floor that they have had for months. It's got 159,000kms on the clock and they initially wanted R160k for the car. I see they've dropped it to R140k now. My 635CSi, with 135,000km's on the clock....was R25k.Ya fine it wasn't running when I got it,fair enough, but they tend to ask way too much for cars. And true what Chef is saying, how do THEY know there are only 3 in the country?
Anyways, this thread isn't about moaning about Monte Carlo....:roflol: Somebody buy it already!:fencelook:
