Top speed reached with a 2011 bmw 320d

Hi guys
Just a question for the owners of a 320d; What is the top speed ever reached on your speedometer. On my speedometer I was able to reach a top speed of 240 km/h and on a slightly downhill road a speed of 246 km/h.
I have got 8500 km on the clock of my new 320d. Do you guys think I will be able to reach 250 km/h in the near future?

The stats say 235 km/h so 245 with the error on the speedo sounds about right

Never been there myself

What are your revs at that speed?

Remember being in my cousins 06 320d, he did a 260km/h but of course with a help from the Xcede file ;)
All done in a "Private" test track

Not a good idea to post these kinds of things in a public forum :nonono:

Why? It was done on a private road.

I did some testing on my private test track on late morning of 3am...

I have no idea how fast I was going as the speedo ran off the clock... but the car kept pulling.

This is a supercharged 323i obviously... so... who knows...

I should be getting new injectors today... so we can up the boost and really see how this thing flies.

Mods are - lightweight Flywheel - 10kg as opposed to 30kg standard.
This makes throttle response quicker, less load for the engine to spin. "..the effect of reducing rotational inertia on driveline parts has 15 times the benefit of just reducing the weight of the car." This in turn does not add more HP to the car, but increases acceleration. This helps when coming out of corners as the car can climb through the rev range quicker.

Racing Clutch - Gizmo organized this for me and man its tough to drive with when in hard traffic, but when driving hard in open roads or on the track, changing gears is a dream and the car really kicks.

I had a modified ECU before the supercharger, with induction kit and cone filter.

Now, Vortech V3 supercharger, VF engineering kit. Unitronic software and bigger 440cc fuel injectors.

Next is bigger intercooler, forged pistons and rods... Coil overs suspension.

I clocked 200km/h on my private track and was too kak scared so backed off.

Car kept going though, so clocking 240km/h would not have been a problem
