Throttle Sensor Advice

So I need some advice.

One of my buddies purchased and E46 m3 Last week, very clean car with only 94000km on the clock. Earlier this week he started picking up the below errors.

He has called Club Motors Randburg who I am already at my wits end with and wouldn't trust them with my broomstick and BMW Umhlanga, both of which cannot give us any answers as apparently they didn't do the diagnostics themselves and they also don't know what parts are required.

We know that its a fault on the throttle but Randburg are saying theres one throttle and umhlanga are saying two :bangdesk:

Can anybody assist with some tech knowledge and maybe this is a quick fix or recommend somebody to go to?

thanks a mill guys.

Theres actually 3 throttle sensors.. two connected to the throttle body linkage( sure thats not the correct term) and one in the accelerator pedal.

I cant actually see the picture you uploaded, but problems with the throttle sensors are a known problem with the S54. There is a bit of information on the google. some people have replaced sensor by sensor to get rid of the problem, others have replaced the actuator as well as the sensors to get rid of throttle issues.

Best bet is to speak to the engine guru on the forum...Peter aka a1exander
