Thoughts on Veloce Performance

Hi all,

I am new to the diesel forums as I've just acquired a 2015 320d M sport AT.
The car has 102000kms and I use it as a daily from Jhb to Rustenburg.
The consumption is to say but the least remarkable as I get 1000kms to a tank.

I've been toying with the idea of getting the car remapped and came across Veloce Performance in Midrand.
I viewed their website and spoke to Adriaan who recommended a remap which will take the car from 135fkw to 160 and 380nm to 440nm.

Has anyone had this done?
Thoughts would be highly appreciated.

I don't wish to do anything further as I'd like the vehicle to be reliable and economical.

Regards,
Ravi

i never heard of Veloce Performance before. There are many tuned 20d's around. Have a look at Xcede, RK motion and the likes which are reputable.

Never heard of Veloce either.

Xcede Performance, RK Motion and Madness Motorsports would be my top picks for software on your 320d.

Thanks guys,
Veloce Performance goes by www.plugandplaychip.co.za

They came up when I did a search and I spoke to Adriaan who seemed quite knowledgeable but I have Sherwin's details and will contact him from here.

What else can one do to the 320d for reliable performance gains?

Chat to Sherwin, he will advise on next steps.

For stage 2 software you would need a downpipe at minimum, possibly could do a full exhaust if you want a better sound. I would also suggest XHP for your TCU as well, to complement the ECU file.

Thanks bud,
Please excuse my ignorance but what is XHP? is that specific software for the TCM?
Does Xcede not do this?
What exactly does this mod do ito the driving experience?

Have a look at their website, should have all the answers you require, it is a service that Xcede offers.

ito of the driving experience - Completely transforms the vehicle, you will ask yourself why you didnt get it done sooner šŸ˜…

Gear changes are quicker, gearbox behaves more intelligently, and it ups the line pressure in the gearbox to aid with the additional torque after the ECU remap.

I would definitely consider Danny from DSC Motors port. You can't go wrong here.
You'll get proper service and support thereafter.
He is on the forums too...but I'll leave his contact

(O71) 362-1198

He can also assist with and hardware mods you may want to compliment the file.

Also not familiar with Veloce Performance.

I can vouch for Danny too. Worked on my personal cars and customer cars.

Veloce Performance form what I know specialise in bakkies and SUV's like Hilux, Amarok, Q7, Touareg, etc.

For Cars, I would say stick to the tried and tested as mentioned above.

Xcede FTW! I don't have the diesel but the work done on my 320i was top class. But if not then any of the other suggested tuners are worth a visit.

The positive reviews for the tuners on the forum helped me make my choices.

Consider the advertisers on this forum and yes there are a few reliable modications you can discuss with your choice of tuner such as mappping, decat and an upgraded intake filter and perhaps also doing some carbon buildup cleaning since you over 100000k.
