To me Toyota totally missed the brief. The looks I don't mind, in actual fact I don't think it looks that bad. It will probably grow on me.
But and this is a big BUT where is the performance?
The Z4 is a good platform yes, but it falls massively short of what should have been Toyota's objective - Dethroning the Nissan GTR.

In my mind at least, that is what the Supra has always been, Toyota's main contender to the Japanese heavyweight title.

For me personally this new iteration has been found wanting what the Supra is supposed to be.

Totally agree here.

MY issues is seems the only Toyota parts on the new Supra is the badges the rest is a BMW.

The A80 MK4 Supra with the 2JZ-GTE non VVTI made a max HP of 325HP and the New supra apparently makes 335hp

Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity of going for a ride in a MK4 Supra but I have sat in one and it felt like a damn cockpit was f@#k awesome.

Also alot of those induction vents are fake :(

Dont get me wrong I am definately a fan of BMW's but this is a weak attempt to bring back a legend and the GTR competitor

Did anyone check this video posted on Jay Lenos Garage youtube channel in April 2014.

Its the Toyota FT-1 concept car that looks very similar to the new Supra

Jirrrr, Shame on you Toyota, sies man!

What a pathetic excuse is this to borrow an engine from another brand, when any petrol head knows you have the engineering capability to build something magical in house?!

Pure lazyness, I hope the engineers all commit seppuku for being a disgrace to Japan !

It's as if they said: "nah, we too lazy to make something better than the old Supra, what other options do we have?"

Toyota has completely moved away from halo models. Its a shame.

I think Toyota took revenge for their motors inside some ///M cars :smilebounce:
It was discussed before and think the reality is here, the old supra motors were capable for big power, but, how long were these motors on the market vs the N54/55, let alone the B58 which from my understanding was a step in a upper direction, I would say watch this space guys, already you can order a 1000 Hp engine over the counter. https://arsenalmotorsports.com/products/bmw-b58-s-1000.html

I like the look , This car looks a lot like a small version of the Lexus LFA .

This collaboration between Toyota and BMW isn't something new though , they did it with the Toyota 86 and Subaru and that seemed to work out well for them .
