ye i dont know where they found this idiot
i also dont like being labelled as spam <SPAN id=Bluebiggrin" title="Bluebiggrin" border="0">

they are however the only ones that got back to me...
got the answer from street racer anyway

the exhaust place im using can get me any branch i want but he is not sure what bolts strait up (on the price list they only make for 328i/330i) he knows all the str 6 should fit but if he has to mod them to fit it will cost me extra so i was trying to find out what does fit

SR told me tnt uses the same for all 6s so if I can get a tnt ill get that if i cant get tnt ill go with viper

That is strange a while back when I emailed tnt they got back to me fairly quickly, called the guy and he seems quite knowledgeable.

As far as I know the branches for all the 6es should be interchangeable (apart from the ones on the S54 engine)

i dont know why they confuse the matter if they all fit why not list them? even on the web sites (that look like they have never been updated) no one lists a branch for my car

Not sure, In term of websites I have found most SA website that don't rely on there site to sell there products to be pretty crap, and most of them are only updated once, the day the site was put up.

Might be worthwhile to compare the part number of the OEM branch you have on your car to that of one from a 328 or 330 if they are the same then the aftermarket ones should probably also be the same, unless you have already done this.

my branches are as far as i know the only ones for the e46 with no cats in so im sure the part numbers will differ...

just had a look on realoem and it seems they have the same numbers listed for the 328i and the 328i did have a catless branch on some models

The 99' 328i we have also has the branches without cats, I thought it was only later on with the M54 engines that got the branches with cats.

just got a reply from him:

Hey Mor

You will be looking at R2400 for that branch and yes we make them!
Let me know what you think.
Enjoy your day!

K

seems a bit steep considering the exhaust guy is doing the whole system for 4k:thinking:
he probably gets a better price on them

Amazing amount of people don't know what e30/e36/e46 actually mean... and people in the parts industry aswell!! SoI wouldn't be too surprised. He knows all the dolphin shape staright sixes have teh same branch... thats more than I knew;)

If the e36 was the dolphin shape what was the e46 called?

ok so went into the exhaust shop this morning to hav a chat with the guy...

his workmanship and work shop are insane :)
seems he is way better than i originally thought... he makes up all his own silencers and also makes custom branches...

he showed the the differences between his boxes and Cowley his quality is by far better

he said he would make up custom branches for free if i left the car with him for a week because then he would be able to add it to his product range :)
so then he would only be charging me for the free flow boxes he is fitting...
im in two minds about this because it would mean i wont have my car for a week but it will save me alot
