This turned out to be the squirrel:

Replaced with Bosch one from GW and now that I6 is purring like a kitty.

Turned out to be two separate problems occuring at the same time. Like an episode of House except its with a car and its not free.

Yup was strange indeed, that the coilpack would decide to give in just during that time that my car was not mobile, I have to admit I was crapping myself for a while there.
