As much as I will never put a non BMW motor in a BMW, this car is pretty well done. 2JZFTW.

Nice man, well done.

I think you and another member GBMW will get on just fine, his cars are black on black on black on black, did I mention he likes black:cartel::rollsmile:

Will be nice to see it running on the track

BTW, I am looking for more of these rims from e90, especially the 8,5J ones. I currently have an odd number so can do with 3 to 5. These are actually going to my drift cars.

Then the CSL rims are going onto my BMW but they will be painted .... black. They are 8J and 9,5J. I need more, anyone know where I can get another set?

Cool thanx, at least I know what it is called now. Any Idea where they come from or who distributes them? Guess if you knew you would not have been looking ...

If you can find me another nice looking BMW set with a 9.5J with a second set I can buy, we can swop ... win-win

Well Mintys used to bring them in but not anymore, every E36 in the States has a set on them but locally they a pain in the ass to find. Ill keep an eye out for a 9.5J set of wheels tho:coolShake:

Wow , Where did you find all the carbon fiber? How much does the car weigh now?

Did you replace the boot with a cardboard one as well? I once saw a similer car somewhere online where a guy did really drastic weight reduction to an E46 , but he replace many parts with CSL parts , one thing that I found interesting was the cardboard boot floor . Last week I saw an E class with a plastic / cardboard floor at a scrap yard .

I was pretty shocked and didn't realize that many new car boot floors have now turned from metal to cardboard . But It does reduce weight.

Wow. Cool car. Can't wait for the dyno info.

Neither can I but this time I am running it in properly so should have a full power run by end October. But from similar setups I should get between 420 and 450 wkW at 2 bar and probably about 800 Nm. If not then the Garret GTX40 upgrade will happen sooner. Will then also change the cams cos now they are still standard.

Read my post earlier about weight reduction. I will still weigh the car sometime. I have taken a lot of weight off but probably added some again with the heavier design engine (that's why they last in comparison) and of course the roll cage and all the other go faster bits. The car is completely stripped inside. Was just a shell when I started so will be very interesting to see what it weighs now. There are still place I can shed weight like the boot floor but weight is not always bad.

I have a guy that makes all my cf stuff, really good quality. I am trying to sell this stuff too to try and recover some of my mould costs. Some of the moulds are his and some are mine. So M3 style bonnet, csl style boot and roof is all cf. These components are about R8000 ea depending on a number of factors.

Those seats without brackets or padding is about R4000 each and a dash about R4500. The center console is about R3000 if I remember correctly and the door cards I cannot remember.

Also keep in mind, this was built as a track day car, not a show and shine, ok, maybe just a little bit of show but finishing is definitely not perfect. Its function over form.
