Thirsty E90 325

Hi All

my car has been very thirsty for water lately, I fill it up once sometimes twice a week, although I have not noticed any water leaks> what can be the cause??:cry

Top gasket on the way out or maybe the radiator cap??

That amount of water, I would rather check out the entire cooling system, before the head gasket says cheers.
Hope you not filling up with tap water.

Not sure where you located but if there is a Silverton Radiators near you, take the car to them for a test to see if its the head. Also check for water in the oil. Easy way to do that, check the underside of the oil filler cap, if the oil is a yellowy brown then there could be a leak into your oil.

Trust me you have a leak somewhere.

My e90 323i was losing water and i could not find the leak.

With the engine bay being hot and the covers at the bottom, the water drys up or you don't see anything on the floor cause of the covers

The next time you park the car after a drive, open the bonnet and listen for a hissing noise, this should help you find the leak.

In my case it was the Radiator.
