Thinking of Building X3 3.0sd

This will have the 3.0D twin turbo engine, that we never got in SA. Complete engine is available. What do you guys think?

Gearbox is the same. Will take a high mileage 3.0D X3 and do the transplant. Thought of putting an N54 in:rollsmile: but its to much of work!!

Will buy a complete running 3.0D. ECU is the same just software which i will do anyway. X3 overseas comes with the twin turbo engine, so basically just swapping out engine.

considering the numbers people get with one turbo after tuning is there any point to doing this unless you need a replacement engine anyway?

i would only consider this if the two turbo setup moves the torque curve into higher rpm... there is more than enough power in the single turbo setup

If I'm not mistaken the single turbo 30d in the x3 makes 150kw n 400nm the 30sd makes 210kw n 560nm
