Things to look out for when buying an E90/Common issues

Hi all,

I see there's a thread named "Things to look out for when buying a 3 series" and it seems like it's more focused on the E46's.

Could we perhaps start this one for the E90's?  I'll go first:

1.  Vibration damper (Before 200k kms)
2.  Central locking failure
3.  Oil filter housing/Cooler
4.  Timing chain issues on pre LCI (n47 2006 - 2009)

Feel free to add them as you go along.

On the Autos - Gearbox Service at ZF 140,000km
Diesel model - Damper pulleys at 150,000km
325i/330i - Water pump at around 150,000km

would like to know what is the clutch life span on manual models

Check the indicators, many drivers of other brands say bmw indicators don't work

There was a recall for this.  They should go do the recall campaign to have it sorted  :roflol:
