The urge

Is it just me or does all BMW ///M drivers sometimes get the urge to weld their right foot to the floor board once the road opens up, for eg. driving long distance and u find yourself on a long straight open road with almost no other cars on it. Do u tend to end up with both feet on the accelerator pedel or are u a cruise controler ?

I do it for the V8 noise. When on the open road the engine ticks over at around 2300rpm in 6th gear and you can't hear the exhaust at all... but add another 500-600rpm and her throat starts to open up :):)

Isn't floorboard the reason why we drive BMW's??
I drive weekly between HOME and JHB which is 500km round trip, I own records :joy:
Open road is where I'm most at ease, me, the wheel and the tar in perfect symphony!!

haha im not alone ! The red line on a bmw is there to be touched at least 1ce per trip, not camped in just touched. And the speed limiter is there to be camped in. Althouh mine is removed so i camp at 7k rpm in my m5er. Theres no better sound than a bmw moter at 4500+ rpm be it i6 v8 v10 or v12.

If I'm already at 110'ish I'll only drop it back to 4th. Then it's just a nice loud PPUUUURRRRRR. But sometimes one does get held up and when oppertunity comes where I can over take it's usually from third gear if it's uphill. Down hill I don't even gear down. Just leave in 6th with me foot down. V8 powa!!!

its the lil angel on your shoulder whispering turn the radio off, open the windows, find your balls then your tcs butten. Then push it and turn it off, find a tunnel, then bury your foot in a low gear and listen to the sweet tail pipe music.

On straights, through bends and curves, always looking for a perfect apex, mad about dicing superbikes on curvy roads, they always loose!!:biglol:

When the road is wet, it's playtime, every corner is viewed through the side window.

Braking is always left until the very last moment.

My E46 M3 does it the best!!:joy:

oh im all so guilty when i pull up to a golf with cone filter and exhaust pipe the size of a pot, just to dip the throtel slightly looking at the other driver with a grin, then the other driver genraly stops its pointless reving and crawls away tail between legs lol
