The sweet talkin' Romeo 323i

Picked up a 98 323i for my wife this evening.

She was owned by a dear friend & ex colleague of mine, 230,000km, full service history from BMW, resplendent in Moreagruen/white leather. Man, I can't get over how awesome this car drives after all these years and all these miles.

She will definitely be treated to some new shocks, control arm bushes, rear trailing arm bushes, ball joints etc. As well as a full fluid change, thermostat change and a bit of other tlc items in the next week. Will keep the photos coming.

Her exterior is, no exaggerating, hands down a 9/10, with the interior around the same. Bit of wear/scuff on the drivers seat, and get this, a PERFECT steering wheel. She was owned by a man who clearly loves machines almost as much as I do. A consummate gentleman, ex Mirage driver, ex Boeing driver, perfectionist and all round hell of a nice guy.

This car is such a joy on the highway, I'm contemplating giving the ///M3 to the missus and keeping her for myself

Pics to follow shortly...

Tamar trying to sort the cd shuttle. I'll get replaced by one of those fancy Audiovox Dice iPod integration kits, no way in hell she'll let me change the head unit

Guess I did teach her well after all...

Looking good.

Nice spec as well, i.e: Rear sun blind, rear headrests, flat beadings and clear indicators...

The stock headunit is.. well.. terrible. Alpine headunits are the least jarring upgrade, their red backlighting is the closest you'll get to matching the rest of the interior unless you hunt down a becker grand prix or Blaupunkt CD43
