Because they have the tools and means to do so.
It is not long lasting though, but probably cheaper and easier to do than a vinyl wrap. It is very forgiving - if you make a slight mistake, you can peal it right off again.

Well, the result from the pics looks pretty good. Just wonder how long it will last, how easy is it to clean the car without damaging the PlastiDip - okay, I am basing this on interior soft-touch covered plastics as reference, so maybe not the same.
