I don't know if the N52 is problematic, but I've established that the E90 motors generally use more oil.

There's only one month of motorplan left ...

yeah go drive the car till motorplan expires then come back for fix oh wait, then you have to pay for it.
tell them to go f*** themselves and fix it now.

The car is at Auto Atlantic. I really hate this situation. Basically sitting without a car now and it sucks. All thanks to Auto Atlantic's mechies' incompetence.
I'd like to make special reference to mechanic Gareth, who feels that a 3 Bar difference on a compression test is nothing to worry about!
Can you believe it?!

The just want you to run out of motorplan so that they don't have to worry about your crap, and yes the incompetence of BMW service personnel is legendary.

BMW will never replace your motor just becasue you want them to...your dealership needs to apply to BMW SA stating that they are unable to fix your problem, then you wait for 2 weeks for BMW SA to give the go ahead to have your engine stripped and the head sent to the engineers. Only once the engineers can't find a problem with your head will they replace your motor. My car has been wirh BMW for 7 weeks now...new motor should be deliveried today, so hoping to get the car back by end of next week...fingers crossed that they replace you motor!!!:thumbs:

If the car is still smoking, don't accept it...best bet is to lay a complaint with BMW S.A.

I hope you come right with this! My 330i is also from the N52 family so also uses oil which is something I battle to accept even though they are known to do this apparently. Have a year of motorplan left, so will see how things go!

drive the loaner like you stole it ... bastards are always taking shortcuts, they only seem to find solutions once the motorplan is expired ...
