The Nightmare of BALANCING

some common reasons for wheel balancing going off with time, when it was correct earlier on.

1)Uneven tyre wear
2)Impact damage to tyre and/or rim (pothole etc) causing out-of round
3)Dislodged counter weights either due to the glue deteriorating, or weights forced off by contact with curbs/rubble/stones.
4)tyre shift on the seat of the rim. (from acceleration and even more so from braking forces)

High speed balancing will not be able to alleviate the errors mentioned above, it will just get it right with a far beter level of accuracy, but once the vehicle leaves the shop, and a few months down the line the balancing could go off again for the errors mentioned above.
If the balancing isn't right from the moment one leaves the shop, go back !!, the job wasn't done right in the first place !!......and in my shop no extra charge until the job is done right.
