Its registered as a 1993 on the Enatis. Only america had the B38 to offset their emissions control and loss of power due to it. Thats my understanding at least.

Oh okay, thanks for clarifying. Assuming the car is still for sale, do you have a Fanatics' special price? I'm really missing my E39, but I've always had a soft spot for the E34 - my dad had an ice white 535i when I was a kid and I loved it!

Using the legend for a couple of days a daily.

Fuel consumption is remarkable if I can manage to behave.

Also pls no long faces. Yes I will miss the car immensely as she is perfect now. With the new GM module all the electronics are smoother as well.

I have a new project thats going to be all consuming and theres nothing more I can do to restore this one. She is ready for a new home which will hopefully be a collector.

I never posted the pic but I swapped out the GM with one from an E32 7 series and its improved some of the general electric operations. Windows trip computer has now live fuel consumption updates etc..

No such thing as a Dumb question! The General Module or central module.

Here is a quick write up on it

Central Locking/Windows/sunroof inoperative or intermittant Tech Bulletin MODELS: 5 series (E34), 7 series (E32)

Situation:
The above mentioned vehicles are equipped with a General Module which controls a Power Protection Relay (sometimes referred to as an "electronic fuse").
This Power Protection Relay interrupts the flow of current to three ZKE subsystems (power windows, sunroof, central locking, and door lock heating) in the event of excessive current flow, such as a short circuit. The General Module not only monitors the activation of the heating element, but also checks the integrity of the element. An open circuit of the door lock heating element circuit will cause the General Module to open the Power Protection Relay, thereby removing power from the Central Locking and Power Windows, Sunroof circuits.

Correction:
If a complaint is encountered of intermittently inoperative Central Locking or Power Windows, Sunroof, proceed with normal troubleshooting using the BMW Service Test and Diagnostic Procedures Manual.
Power Protection Relay status must be "on" for the Central Locking and Power Windows, Sunroof to work.
If these procedures fail to correct the complaint, verify that the circuit is intact from the General Module (E32: Pin 14 of connector X254; E34: Pin 26 of connector X253), through the Relay Module and Door Lock Heating Element to ground.
Total resistance of the circuit should be approximately 992-996 ohms (2-3 ohms for the heating element and approximately 990 ohms through the relay module).
If not, refer to the appropriate ETM for troubleshooting.

Random post, I bought another 330d but an LCI and it is an incredible car. My Girlfriend drove it back while I was in the M5 and we had a spur of the moment drag race. It wasn't perfect but it was great fun.

Both cars stock and I suspect if the 330d launched at the same time it should be ahead marginally.
