All types of strange things are happening to my 2003 320d Auto
For the last week she has a ticking sound that kicks in above 2000rpm.
I dont know whether this is an injector? Is it a chain tensioner? or or is it actually a "pfft pfft pfft sound" of air from a cracked manifold or exhaust pipe or manifold connection.
Today an extra sound almost made me shart my pant.
She was under a bit of load in 2nd when I eased on her, and this horrid deep drooaaaaaan vibrated through the rear of the car. It sounded like it came from the rear left and it was loud and uncomfortable on my eardrums.
Is there a connection between 1 and 2?
There is no loss of power and no excessive smoke.
I need a tip or two please.
