You know, sometimes in life you fail. And sometimes you succeed. I am pleased to report that today I succeeded. I am sitting here in my lounge typing this & thinking, "It's good when you are right & the naysayers are wrong."
Because you see, let me tell you why I am as pleased as punch. When there is a fight on this or any other forum, the neutrals are seeing people arguing. It does tend to get heated & name-calling & the like ensues.
But the neutrals that don't know both camps, don't know who is right & who is wrong. They don't know who it lying & who isn't. They just reading an argument on the internet & it's hard to decide who is telling the truth.
Well I can tell you that I am right & NSane, Boned (still love you tho) & Anal (no comment) are wrong. I was tasked with flashing a new spec, strong M3 and see if we can gain over 20whp. I was asked by Anal to ensure there is no correction. I was asked if this here gain, can be proven to be repeatable.
Well, check, check & check. All done.
We gained over 20hp on Ary's car. The dyno is a Dastek loading dyno totally uncorrected identical to ODR's, and the the gain was the same on Rowen's car which we dyno'd tonight as well.
Tonight Ary made 255hp under load (didn't print that run, but everyone saw it). Stock s/w Ary made 231hp under load on the same dyno. That's a 24hp gain ON THE WHEELS UNCORRECTED!
After running Ary's car, we put Rowen's on the rollers & I fine-tuned it on the dyno from 249hp to 254hp & about 12-13NM gain as well. So both cars are within 1hp of each other & both gained around 25 wheel hp.
And this time we took a strong stocker, not a weak one. This dyno has no correction & so it reads lower than KAR, Snail etc. A stock CSL dyno'd 225hp under load there. So Ary's car was not weak for the 231hp run. Obviously he had his decatt or whatever else, Ary can elaborate on what he had hardware-wise for his stock run. But the point is that nothing changed besides the tuning.
And below are some comments from which now, in hindsight, are actually quite funny. I did exactly what I said I would do. I took Ary's car & gained 24hp on the wheels, & he was there the whole time to see what I was doing. There is no smoke & mirrors. This is real. Next time don't mock something because you or your crew cannot do it. There may well be others that can.

bmw should hire u dude, u the man when it comes to tuning m3s....your chip tuning skills alone will save them billions cos they are also idiots who cant gain power from their own technology...
word on the street is that god personally trained u to tune these m cars.....hence the miracles....all hail Sherwin the M3 tuning god...
