My heart sank after reading this. Thanks for the heads up. I have a W203 c200 which was a hand me down since 2010. We've owned the car since 2002 new. Thus far its been reliable. I'm assuming the electronics are the same?Rotinaj said:Good luck sir. I had a friend who owned one, it was more unreliable than his Griffith, in fact i had 3 friends who owned C32's they all ended up selling them due to the major reliability issues. Nothing mechanical just constant and never endinging Delphi electronics failing.
Headlights were especially prone to failing, thank goodness a good indy and retrofit a F/L headlight assembly with some careful soldering. Oh wait i see they have already failed and were swapped to a F/L non xenon setup. YOu can see the car was supposed to be fitted with Xenons as there is a headlamp washer and no beam adjustment switch.
Next on the list of failures will be the transmission plug, it will leak into the harnass and cook the ECU, please have it inspected again any decent benz indy knows about this issue, if they don't find someone else to work on it. Then you have the Radiator cores that split and spill Water into the ATF....cooking the transmission.
But all in a lovely car with wonderful highway ability.
I'll need to have the list of issues checked out asap. I hope I haven't gotten myself into some serious problems... Thanks again.
Appreciate this. I'll call them asap!General.Massacre said:Great Car, if you need a good passionate Indy, search for MercCare, Christo's knowledge and passion for the Brand is excellent and unchallenged.

For some Reason the problems were mainly limited to the C32, not the SLK32 or the rest of the range. It was just very poor QC on the entire car 02's were the worst and it improved with time. The Transmission is your biggest concern if a Valeo radiatorsator you have a ticking timebomb.
