I had a lekker week this week, so today was 'play with new stuff day'

Shayne's hecti 335 Coupe

Mike also brought his one-of-a-kind 335 around so we can play a little with software on the car - he made his car available as a testbed with some ideas we're playing with and I'm pretty excited with the results! I just have to add extra pics on this one because it's so unique (and to piss Firoze off :) - sorry bud! )

Thanks for the add Gert. its a privilege to be part of the cool cars thread.

Thanks for the kind words Gents...

And a special thanks goes out to Gert. The car is insane. Everything is so much better with the Alpina Gearbox flash and the PPK SW.

The best part is, it sounds like i have done a DP on the car. That exhaust tone now is something to behold.

I will provide more detail later once i have the video of the porn burbles.

Here's something cool...

Yeah sure, it's an M5. But here's the coolest part. If you don't get it, then you should ban yourself from this forum :)

I didn't do the actual swop, I'm just responsible for the ecu software.

To answer the questions, this is the only one in SA that I'm aware of. It uses an M3 V8 gearbox and is almost a perfect fit. Currently the car runs the U.S. Version of the ECU software but there's still a little work needed to get some last emissions control warnings removed. This was tied in with a rebuild of the motor as well, as this ran bearings.

And no, the guy is not on this group but a total nutcase/enthusiast/ great guy

Gert, you can't just show us the manual V10 M5 and say nothing!
Share details on how it was done, challenges etc!

It looks OEM btw! Respect

Oooof. Who did the mechanicals? I showed this to a mate and he insisted I should find out who and how much.
