That's an ESS supercharged CSL nicknamed LOADED
It was built about 5 years ago by LOADED which is a Swedish carbon fibre specialist and was a project to beat the production car record for a lap on the ring.. the beat the previous record held by an older Zonda!!! and demolished all the super and hyper cars
The car is still being tweaked however the attack on the ring was its glory moment.. the full video clip of the record attempt is on you tube

They did not try and "Change the sound of the engine" that's just stupid
As Matt mentioned, it is a 600hp+ boosted S54 with a L/W FF Supersprint header back system. They didn't give a shit about the sound during development. The car has a function... not to look or sound cool, but to go fast, REAL fast. 1 for the purists
It is not an all show - no go ricecar. Honda & co still has that title.
The sound is just a cherry on top for those who like it
I believe that it was in 2 accidents, first time by a journo i think, then repaired and rejuvenated. Second thime... not quite sure

The acceleration sounds like an old F1 car but the sound that I drool over most is that downshift at the end. :drool:

The car's 'function' does not dictate whether everyone should or should not like the sound it makes. It can be the fastest car in the world and still sound like crap.
Personally, I don't like it at all and I still think it's sound a lot like a modded Honda/Nissan/ST/GTI/OPC ect...

Perhaps I said it wrong when making reference to "Exacly, don't understand why anyone would want to change the sound of an M engine"
My point was, that they are not trying change sound of the engine. The engine is boosted with straight pipes and that's why it sounds the way it does. Their goal was for performance and not for the sound.
