I love assisting people, especially on a forum like this where members are so willing to learn and where members truly appreciate your advice and the time you spend helping people.

This thread is one of those threads where I can only give you a huge thumbs up.

The finish is superb, beautiful and glossy - An effort you should be very proud of!

However, If I can give you a few pointers quickly:

Grab some Quick Detailer (Although this is bloody expensive) or some "Sheen" from your local grocery at a whopping (lol) R25 a can (Strawberry flavour rocks) and give your plastics below the bumper and around the fog light a quick spray. Wipe any excess off with a cloth, it makes the car have more contrast between the paint colour and black plastics.

Did you give the mag wheels a wax? Oh, and dont forget to coat the tyres with some dressing - Even more contrast and a finished look but I think you already did that. :praise:

Good work and keep it up!

Mike

sheen? i never heard of using that. i will definately get some and try. i always wondered what i could use on the black bits thats easy to apply. i havent tended to the wheels yet, i need to get some more stuff. the wheels are only a couple months old and are starting to get some black spots which dont wanna come out. so my next little detail project would be to tend to the rims. im definately going to try the wheel wax because cleaning these rims took an hour on its own. on the tyres i used the normal silicone, but that doesnt last very long so if you guy have any suggestions...

the interior i just used leather cream (which got finished yesterday :( ) so im going to get the wynns leather care cream. unless theres a better product?

thanks again MiniMike for all the tips n tricks. :ty: :ty: :ty:

Sheen is a spray on trim dressing that Shield makes. You cannot miss it they are in every grocery store and its dirt cheap at like R25 a can. I only use it on big sections of plastic or where my fingers cant reach. Its awesome for the engine bay - The 560SEC Merc I detailed last week took an entire can on just its engine bay!

The staining, is it like little black dots? Or is all over the mag wheel like a tint?

If it is little black dots, you can grab some clay from Crazy Detailer and clay it off with loads of patience... Clay will probably work if the mag is tinted too but you can also try use a paint cleaner or decent polish on the rims to remove it too.

You dont perhaps have a few pictures you can post so I can try advise a bit better?
