Hi everyone, so got the all clear from Mike to tell you all what happened...
Mike contacted me concerning a fine he got, on a F20 1 series, that he does not own, or never owned, but yet the ticket was in his name... :mmm:
On further investigation, and with Mike sending me all his own details to investigate and find whats wrong, as well as the fine details, I was able to find out what was going on.
Mike was interested in buying a F20 1 series, and had filled in a credit application at a bmw dealership, but decided due to funds being tight, he would wait a while... so he never signed any papers, and pulled out of the deal.
Unknown to him, the dealership had already put the car onto his name... and then 10 days later, the car was taken off his name again, but he was never informed... :argh:
So for the 10 days the car was in his name (without his authority or him knowing), there were traffic fines issued, and these are now on his name. :bangdesk:
I told him to contact the dealership, as the mistake was theirs, not his, and as he had never actually done any deals on any car, they must sort it out, and either pay the fine, or give him a letter stating the facts, that he can send to the traffic authority to clear his name. :thumb:
So guys, the lesson... when filling in any forms, make sure that the forms are properly cancelled, so that nothing can be put on your name, or credit transactions and debit orders loaded onto your name fraudulently... BE CAREFUL!!
