:argh: I'm back again. Starting to wonder if buying a bmw was a good idea.. Ok so it was kak cold this morning outside right, I started the old beemer up and straight of the bat the Tell tale light and abs light flickers a few times with a loud beep sound. Then it stayed on for few mins then went off. So I thought fuck it and drove the wifes C2 to work instead. When I got home just now which is 9hrs late I started her up again. And this time rough idling and tell tale and abs light flickering twice then went off, idling fine now when up to normal temp. Only thing is I don't even trust it now to drive to my mechanic. Any ideas if its engine problems or actual abs problem? Any help please:fencelook:

"Warning light" check your bmw owners manual if you've never heard of it. Its the light that comes on if you switch the ASC off. That triangle with the "!" In it and an arrow around it.:bangdesk:

You mean the traction light? Ahhhhh... Sorry I couldn't fathom what light you were mentioning... I call that the fun mode on light!

Maybe snap a pic of the diffent lights that's coming up, it could be different issues with different fixes..

318 steptronic E46. Yeah I checked the breakfluid level its fine. I started her up just now lights flashing 3times then went off. I drove it around the estate for about 5kms ±. No problem no lights but switched the ASC off to put it in "fun mode" as Kish cals it. Like I said drove fine then switched it off and started it again and no lights. Seems to only happen if she stood over night. Think it might be an abs sensor but F#ck me I'm not sure cause then it would be on the whole time, right?

Leon,

There is a 99% chance it will NOT cut out the car on you however it could affect safety systems like abs, I suggest you get your car to someone like Gizmo or Alexander for assistance,

Highly doubt it. I've had the sensor fail on my E46 320 over a weekend and I drove it for a few days until the dealer could fix it.....motorplan days
