Tarlton day was awesome!

Hi, so we went racing at tarlton Sunday 1 September and what an awesome day! Only about 100 people which made it perfect for racing again and again and again..

My Friend Stelios ran 10.01 240km/h with his GTR modded by Basil and craig.
My Merc E63 Frenemy ran 11.25 205km/h with 18" hoosiers and stage 2 software making a crazy 1400nm.
I had a lot of traction issues but managed 11.3 207km/h and will get proper tires to run 10's!
All in the 60ft times where I lose out about 0.5seconds to the other guys with the better tyres and the AWD cars!
Mareli ran 11.38 199km/h with my Stock 2012 GTR and I think is possibly the best time for any stock GTR at tarlton yet!
Thamen ran a very impressive 11.9 201km.h with his F10 M5!
We will sort traction and be sure to break into 10's still this year!!

Thanks go out to RGMotorsport for the Hartge conversion working well for a simple plug and play stage 1 software chip! We all know whats gona happen once you put the boost up!! 1000hp M6 here we come! :joy:

RGM said they will add a second setting to the Hartge, one specifically for race days with +0.2 bar boost for 103+ octane. We just need hartge to send us another programmed unit or add another map to the current one.

I am VERY happy with 11.3 everyday road car! The merc ran 275km/h on 1km and I was 2km up on him at tarlton, so using basic math I should almost do 280 on 1km if BMW release the 305km/h option!

All I need now is tyres!!

Yea thx guys, and tarlton is no joke at 1680m above sea level and that shiny smooth surface is a killer on traction! lets see what we do at the next coastal event!?

I guess its all about the car? I dont know how the invites work, but im sure if you have a decent car and can run decent times they will allow you to join! Its pretty expensive though, R1000 per car.. We should do something like this but as a BMW group, get 50 cars R500 each and we have the track to ourselves!

The entries are very limited (50 cars) so the guys can get as many runs as they wish. I invited Dreamer as the E63 that was attending needed competition. It's basically a friend of friends effort.
Once the events are rolling with frequency spots will be available so it will be easier to crack a invite.
Most the entries are high end performers but you do get the odd usual car.
If there is a shortage of entries in future I will make a announcement or if specific cars are needed in the mix.
