I'm not sure if I would trust the putty :fencelook:

I'm too scared it flakes or something and pieces start going into the engine.

Andy also used his existing parts for his swirl flap delete over a year ago and its holding up fine  I opted for the blanks tho.

Maybe should clarify the Pratley Puttey, used the grey fluid one that you mix with grey and clear. Was used to seal it air tight.

The plastic ones work 100% as well, no chance of them melting or causing any issues

Ya I have no doubt but on principle I ordered the metal ones which were significantly more expensive. And so I want the metal ones.

Seller is sending me the correct blanks at no charge and I keep the other ones.

So if anyone needs the plastic ones I have a set for sale. R260 + shipping or collection.

I eventually removed the swirl flaps as one of the screws broke when I checked it. It made a max difference of 0.4 l/100 on my fuel consumption. No blanks were fitted.
