The question is will it beat a car that has a straight line of say 330wkw in the whole racing rev range.

I dunno', I guess we'll never find out as 0.3 bar is just for December. I rate it's good for 265 on the km as it is on 0.3 bar right now. When we get her up to 0.5 bar, should be a real monster on the 1km for a while. Then we test the 0.7 bar mark. As you can see an ///M motor is something else. Every 0.1 bar makes 50kw on the wheels.

That interesting. So why has the other ESS car only hit 256? Is it running .2bar? When it ran the low boost pulley it could only muster a 252. Is the charger larger on this one?

No it's the same, but Thamen has issues with his gearbox. He tells me on all the 1km runs it basically doesn't go into 2nd gear. Jumps out of 2nd & goes into 3rd. So his 1km speeds are with skipping a gear. Might be from excessive wheelspin in 1st gear that 2nd gear doesn't engage, as when he puts on the slicks for the 400m I think he gets 2nd gear sometimes. But maybe confirm with him for the exact story next time you see him, I'm not sure the exact details.

The answer to this question, as I have done quite a bit of research now, is due to belt slippage. The stock ESS SC (600hp kit) comes with stock 6 rib pulleys and belts, my car also has belt slip after 8000rpm and in high gears! Imagine what it will make without any slippage?

We thought it was the DCT box, but it isnt..........

Changing boost on Friday, and early in the new year will upgrade the pulley system to 8 rib, to fix all the slipping and rev high into the 8000's RPM mark............

As for your question about straight line racing, dont you make close to 300wkw? Once my belts are sorted, we can do some runs? :) just to see what th differences are? I suspect with the slipping of the belt at the moment and short revs of 8000rpm I have it will be close, as from 1000rpm to about 4500rpm it runs like a stocker, after that the boost comes in slow increments of like 0.06b per 500rpm give or take.

Overall the car is a beast, but the power is very linnear! :D

PS: Happy new year everyone!!

I was not refering to my car specificly but a car with a straight peak. I should be at around 330wkw now on low boost as well so its going to be a interesting year at the track :excited:
I would be cautious with reving too high. Find out what the peak rpm that the charger can go to and then do the calculation relative to the pulleys you use to see if you might be overspinning it if you go too high with the revs.

Is the registration really DICK....?
