What a bad way to start my day i tell you!!

So after nearly 9months of patience, last week i finally got my car up and running... for the last week i only dared driving it around the neighborhood ( pop in and parentals and shops) or otherwise parked most of the time

Last night Pops asks me: Why don't you start driving your car to work seeing that you waited so long? My excuses where few and far between about petrol, traffic and blah blah blah... deep down i was just paranoid it would stall along the road somewhere...

So this morning i thought what the heck let me just take the darn car to work. All was fine till about half way there, the car stalled!!!:argh:

Swing... nothing:cry: Swing again... nothing!!!:argh:

So this was at 05:30 this morning! Now what to do... just some info: I work in Century City and the car stalled in Epping at the fire station.

I reach for my phone and :argh:!! Its dead!! No one wants to top that time of the morning, no taxis and all the buses that pass are full so they wont pull over. So i decided to walk, jog and run all the way to work. I called my bro and he will pop around and collect my car

[/b]no gym for me for the next few days!![/b]

Thanks bru... i have a feeling that it might be a fuel supply prob, but will have a look over the weekend...

Sometimes in situations like this, it is handy to have/keep an old school cell phone charged with some airtime so you can send a sms or receive calls in your bag or somewhere in the car.

So just an update:

Ive been outa the office since 9 tinkering with my car on the side of the road:yuck:
But i succeded - sort of lol! i managed to get the car to work

Car is back on the road :joy: Well barely...

It turns out that it was a fuel supply issue BUT... the car now has an erratic idle!
idle is all over the place, and if I leave it for long enough, it stalls out. When I give it gas, everything seems fine, but I let off and it stalls. If I hold the pedal down at around 2700 RPM, it sounds like hesitations or misfiring. It's not a smooth sound...kind of like you would get if you floored it and had bad spark plugs or something.

The other thing is that the exhaust fumes is rich(if that makes any sense) - could it be because of the idle not being normal?

 Ai - if it doesnt rain it pours!! I know what i will be doing this weekend...
