Just an update,

I took the matter up with Karen in customer services this morning.

We spoke briefly and i sent her the following mail.

The arrangement was for her to take a look and then respond to it.

So lets wait and see what her response is.

go back to that branch and ask someone to go along with you, to pose as a prospective customer looking for NEW tyres so you can get his name.
A name always helps when making a complaint.
Then name and shame the person!

Got a reply from head office this morning.

The manager has a different version of events (as is always the case), but the lady i spoke to was very polite and professional.

The person at Supa Quick Cresta is Jean-Paul. He is a part franchise owner there.

Below are the mails:

And my response:

I have not received a response to that as yet.. As far as i'm concerned, i will never use Supa Quick again, and if anyone feels that they would like to come and take a look at my "damaged tyres" feel free to let me know..

TWAT in Claremont were more than happy to fit tyres i had sourced elswhere onto my car. They even discounted the balancing and wheel alignment cost.

Im in the process of changing one or two things on the car at the moment (hence my visit to Supa Quick in the first place) and i should be done with it tommorow (jhb weather permitting) :fencelook:

Will post proper pics, including pics of the tyres, as soon as i'm done

This is what I do and recomend to others.

1. Spread the word about there bad service
2. Dont ever go there again no mater what

The result
1. Alot of people will follow your recomendation and tell thier friend again
2. They will loose income and there name will be scared

I have seen bussines close due to these factors:thumbs:

I prefer TWT Fordsburg for fitment and balancing.
Supa Quick at the Glen next to Checkers is quite good. Always get good service from them.

Just takes one prick to mess things up at a shop. Hope the owner see this quickly and takes the guy responsible to task. If my shop were 50m away from a TWT I'd be giving away free coffee just to score brownie points with my clients. :nonono:

i have always found supaquick supa rubbish. been to 3 different ones (2 durban, 1 centurion) and each time got screwed badly.

1) used tyres sold as new
2) tyre repaired without removing the tyre (the push in and plug) on a high performance car.
3) balancing and alignment so bad that i bounced back to durban from jhb.

Went straight to twt to get it done properly. I will never ever go to a supaquick again. i hope they are reading this thread as this is just another example of their pathetic attitude and lack of service. as for their reply to you. i think its the most ridiculous reply i have ever read.

Well done on taking Supa Quick on.

My experiences with both TWAT and Supa Quick have been superb, we have a great relationship with the Cape Town TWAT where my dad purchases many tyres for the Porsche and I had the Smart's tyres (R6500 worth might I add) done at Supa Quick in Montagu Gardens/Canal Walk and the service was mind-blowingly good on both occasions I went there (First time to replace fronts and second a week later when I accidentally wrote off the rear tyres).

So it just goes to show you cannot tarnish the Supa Quick brand because of one person's actions. That person should be held accountable and I hopen Karen sorts this out.

Mike

OP, you may want to shorten the subject of the thread as its causing posting issues.

TWT Melrose Arch have free coffee & biscuits, and I had a few cups while I waited for them to swap my old tires to another set of rims :)
