Subframe plate welding Cape Town

Hi,

Does anyone have some one they can recommend that can do the subframe plate reinforcement welding on my e46?

Or know if a good mobile welder that can weld it at my mechanic?

In Southern Suburbs.

howsit. your best bet is actually powerflow. if its not a complicated weld. powerflow bellville will def do it i think. but i think rolf normally deals with saltriver.

I was actually thinking of an exhaust shop but I didn't know if they would be able to drop the subframe?

Ideally I'd like to get a mobile welder to just go to my mech and weld it there when they drop the subframe to replace the bushes with powerflex so they dont have to drop the subframe twice.

But I'll give the guys a call at powerflow to see if they're able to help.

youll have to take subframe to them...

Remember to have them disconnect the wiring correctly before any welding is done on your car!

thats why you take it somewhere where they do tig welding. its welding using GAS and not welding using a electrical arc.

exahust shops do tig welding (well powerflow bellville does anycase)

The actually welding is done on the sheet metal under the car... Some one recommended some one to me, I will call them when I get back to ct and see what the can do for me.

Otherwise in the mean time any suggestions?

oh ok. on the actual car and not the subframe itself.. tig welding for sure.

Im in a similar situation and require welding my subframe back on! the left side was detached due to "unknown causes", i fear its causing a lot of strain on the right side and am in dire need of getting the work done. Are there any specialists near airport city or claremont who can take on lifting, dismantling and welding?

Please help my poor E46!
