Sub for e39 touring

Has anyone fitted one of those active subs into the side of the boot??? where the shuttle goes...was thinking of putting a 8" or even a 10"

I already have an aftermarket radio

Oh and a new thing I learnt. Switch car off and then pull the indicator stalk, like you flashing brights...the park lights and fogs come on for like 30 seconds then go off...manual coming home lights :=):

You have a touring. Surely you can afford losing a bit of space for a decent sub and housing :=):

Mine works awesome with the original radio.

Yeah I also prefer hidden subs and would like to keep the load area clear. Been thinking of just getting a small box for a 10" sub I have lying at home, but will look into that in the new year.

The active sub looks like it will fit in the compartment on the left, but the guy at the sound shop said its for bakkies and won't give bass in a car, so I'm not sure...I'll keep asking around

So I eventually fitted an 8" star sound active sub. Fitted perfectly into the compartment on the left, after I removed the shuttle. What a difference. The entire sound system has come alive. I had to turn the sub levels down as the bass was way too much.

Very happy now

Will do. I cut a hole in the panel, so just need to put a grill over it and then it will be sharp.

Same here.

Got a 12 inch installed and the bass is far too much. Had to put everything on negative.
