Street 2 strip

Anyone tried out street 2 strip at Tarlton raceway. If so please share some info on your experience and what all happens there....??
What's the pros and cons of running your car on that quarter strip??
Do they have safety measures in place?

I was chatting to a woman that had taken her Z4M to the street to strip at Killarney and a guy who was very interested in her car ended up being from BMW checking up on motorplan cars!!!

So i've been to the street to strip on Friday. R100 per car, whether you spectating or participating.....:thumbdo:

Event seems to be very organized in the rules and safety, the guys queuing to race, etc. :thumbs:

There was all types of cars drag stripping. Some brand new models, some mods.....
Seen some guys race with helmets, others don't..Not sure of the standard there.

All-in-all i think it's worth the while to attend......

on the note of Tarlton, very well organised- you got to go there and get a feel for things.

i was hesitant to go to the track or strip with my Toyota, even places like Zwartkops made me nervous.
but my advice is go... everyone there has the same interests and very willing to help, wont take long for you to feel like you belong there.

ps. its very very addictive- the whole way back i kept thinking how i could take all my seats out to save weight. LOL.
