Hey guys,
My 2010 E90 has developed some form of a ticking sound, it does not run with the engine, ie tappets etc, but rather just while the car is moving slowly, as I speed up the wind obviously over powers the sound or it possibly even goes away.
I noticed my one shock tower has a wee-bit of oil leaking out of it, could this create a ticking sound? Checked the brake pads, disks and dust shield and there is nothing getting caught. Wheel bearings are also fine. The sound doesn't appear to be getting any worse, however I would rather get to the bottom of it before something does break.
Has anyone else had this problem or anyone have any ideas as what to check next?
Car is out of motorplan, and will only be in for a service with Ross Duncan in the next month or so.
